Funk and alt-rock from New Delhi. Soft one minute, full power the next, and a little uncomfortable throughout. Better in a room than in your headphones.
somewhere loud, New Delhi
Salt Rock is a funk/alt-rock four-piece from New Delhi. They write about the city around them, the towns they came from, and the general mess of being a person right now. The quiet songs don't stay quiet; the loud ones don't apologise.
They've played Independence Rock in Bombay, Oddball Festival in New Delhi, and the Hornbill Festival in Kohima, sharing stages with Bloodywood, Tigran Hamasyan, Leprous, and Skrat. At home in New Delhi, they sell out their own headline shows.
Their music has been featured in Rolling Stone India, Sawaal Magazine, Extravaganza, and the Indian Music Diaries, and on Spotify's Rock in India.
